Hellenic League Premier Division

It’s been a hell of a ride this season. More ups and downs than Longlevens’ pitch! And it’s not over yet.

Today sees the Saltmen welcome our friends from Mangotsfield for the final game of the regular season. Spa will be hoping for a repeat of the win in the reverse fixture earlier in the season and also that Lydney can get a result in their swan song against Roman Glass. If that happens Spa will be guaranteed home fixtures in the playoff semi final and final, if they get that far.

Obviously, Mangotsfield will have something to say about that. Had it not been for some uncharacteristically profligate finishing they could quite conceivably have had the previous game wrapped up before half time. Spa rode their luck and came away with the points but will be aware of United’s attacking threat.

The weather is set fair for a good afternoon at Kingys and the club are looking forward to a big crowd celebrating a fabulous first season at Step 5, however it ends.

FTS understands that Two bars, food, club merchandise, face painting, donkey rides, soak the PA announcer, go-carts, bric a brac, beat the ref and much, much more – are just some of the things that may or may not be available.

[Editor’s Note: Many of the above attractions will not be available]

With all some of this available, you’d be mad to miss it!

See you there

Cheers

FTS
