Stratford Road, Alcester, Warwickshire, B49 6LN

After two encouraging performances against Step 4 opponents at Bishops Cleeve and Slimbridge, the Saltmen today take the short trip to Hellenic League Division One side Alcester. The Romans had a good season last year, firmly establishing their place in this extremely competitive division.
Alcester is one of those place names which people seem to have difficulty pronouncing. Fortunately for you, the staff at FTS are a bunch of cunning linguists and we can confirm Alcester is pronounced as a 2 syllable word. The easiest way to remember it is to use the word holster and drop the ‘h’ to get Oll-ster. A bit like Ulster but with less kneecapping [we hope – Ed].

And….best of all, as former poet-laureate Bernie Taupin in his famed work “Step into Christmas,” admission is free! which should leave some pennies for hydration
Weather Forecast:

See you there.
Cheers
