About Me (Boring!)

Right! Let’s get the egotistical small print out of the way. I suppose it might help place my blogs in to some sort of context….

I was born in 1970 and I am not a native of Droitwich, Worcestershire or even the wider midlands region. I am an exile. Born and bred in a coal mining village, near Wakefield in West Yorkshire. My dad is a former semi professional sportsman and my biggest passions have always been sport and music. Sadly, I have never completely excelled at either but that has not diminished my enthusiasm even if I am gradually coming to terms with the fact that I am unlikely to appear at Wembley Stadium – in a football shirt or with a low-slung guitar.

I attended a comprehensive school and studied politics at the University of Liverpool. I have worked in loss adjusting for over 25 years. I have been married for 18 years and we have a 16 year old daughter.

When not watching the Saltmen, I enjoy playing guitar and darts ….but not at the same time.

This is my first time blogging so please have a little patience and forgive rookie blunders..
