In the words of the late James Brown “Paid the Cost to be the boss.” Well, The Saltmen paid the cost on Sunday in the narrow cup final defeat to Hereford Pegasus. Now it’s time for them to be the boss.
Droitwich travel to Slimbridge this evening in the meeting of two sides who have shared the Division lead for much of the season.
The hosts will justifiably see this game as key to them taking the title and while this is not technically a must win for Droitwich, anything but an away win will put a big hole in their prospects of finishing top of the league. No pressure then!
It’s been a hell of a ride so far this season so let’s encourage the lads on as they enter the finishing straight.
