Back in late November we travelled to Cirencester and after 45 minutes we were 1-0 up. After 90 minutes, and a horrific pint of 0% Kronenberg, we were 5-1 down….and so wet that we must have looked a bit ridiculous.

As movie mogul Jack Woltz said in the Oscar winning documentary series The Godfather, “We threw it all away just to make me look ridiculous! And a man in my position can’t afford to be made to look ridiculous!”

So the Saltmen go into this evening’s home encounter with Cirencester looking for revenge. There will be no shoot outs or garrottings but I expect a big performance from our Rossoneri. After all, it’s a matter of honour!

The weather is good, almost Mediterranean, so why not come down and join us.
